▪ The country is facing a serious problem that will affect both the healthcare and education ministries in the future. The new law is against freedom of conscience that will enforce hospitals to pay for contraceptives and abortion medicine for their employees. Prayers are asked for the right of freedom of choice and religious liberty for American citizens.
▪ A group of Sacred Heart parishioners, where Sr. Mary Terence Wall is working, have been providing special soft hats for cancer patients at St. Mary’s Medical Center and the city hospital. The patients are truly grateful for this work of mercy for the sick. The members of St. Stephen Church, where Sr. Mary Grace Barile has been an active member, have collected much-needed cleaning items and food supplies for two West Virginia counties that have recently been hit by Tornados and severe flooding. They are also collecting household supplies for a local Rehabilitation Center for recovering alcoholics and drug abuse individuals. Both Parishes are noted for carrying out the Gospel mission of Jesus Christ of caring for their neighbors.
