Community in Limburg
When I ask myself what carried me through all these years, then immediately, my leitmotif comes to my mind: "the joy of the Lord is my strength" from the book of Nehemia. Yes, despite of exterior concern and hardship, my innards was always full of joy. I could be glad about God and thank Him for his goodness, for his mercy, and most of all for his great glory. Again and again it resounds within my soul: "We give you thanks for your great glory".
"The joy of God is our strength, Alleluia!"
cf. Neh 8,10
Sorrowfully and with much gratitude we, the Sisters of the General Administration of the Missionary Pallottine Sisters and all Provinces give back into God’s loving hands our beloved and revered,
Sister Maria Knaus, SAC.
Sr. Maria guided our Congregation as a Superior General, as Provincial, and as General Mission Procurator with love, wisdom, and courage. Looking towards the future of the Community she acted with confidence in the Lord. God was the source of her strength and benevolence in the days of her service and responsibility. God was her refuge in the dark valley of sickness.
In great peace this Saturday morning at 5:30 on the 18th of February she went home to the Father, the Source of her joy.
The burial will be on Thursday, 23 February 2012 at 10.30 a.m. in the cemetery of the Pallottine Sisters in Kloster Marienborn, Limburg. In the following Eucharistic Celebration we thank God for the life and ministry of Sr. Maria.
On Saturday morning, February 18, 2012 the Lord called our beloved Sister Maria Knaus, SAC to Himself to enjoy eternal bliss.
Let us stay in loving unity with our Sisters in Germany.
Compassion, Amarildo Correa
